Dr Elizabeth Landy is our newest addition to the Recovery Zone physical therapy team. Dr Elizabeth Landy obtained her undergraduate degree in Health Studies and Exercise Science from Monmouth University. During her time in college, Dr. Landy confirmed her desire to enter the healthcare system to make lasting impressions on people’s lives. Ultimately, she chose to pursue a career in Physical Therapy, having experienced firsthand how important rehabilitation and preventative care are for longevity and quality of life.
Dr Landy received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University. Throughout her three years in advanced schooling, she had the opportunity to grow as a clinician. One of her recent accomplishments during her time at Rutgers was presenting her research on COVID-19 and stroke at the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting in Boston. As a new graduate with a fresh perspective on healthcare, Dr Landy prides herself on treating her patients with evidence-based practice and viewing patients through a biopsychosocial lens, understanding that pain can be complex and multi-faceted. Her passion for physical therapy is best represented by her favorite quote: “Medicine adds days to life, Physical Therapy adds life to days.” Dr Landy realizes the impact she has on patients’ lives, and she is well-equipped to help her patients add some life to their days.
